The Sant Nirankari Mission extended its support to tuberculosis (TB) patients by distributing 150 Nikshay Nutrition Kits under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and the Janbhagidari Andolan. The initiative aims to improve the nutritional status and recovery prospects of patients undergoing anti-tuberculosis treatment.

The event took place at Nagrota Surian and was inaugurated by Dr KC Dhiman, Zonal Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, Zone Kangra. He was welcomed by Block Medical Officer Dr Aman Dua, who emphasised the critical role of proper nutrition in TB recovery.

Each distributed kit contains essential food grains, protein-rich items and a month’s supply of multivitamins to aid patients’ overall well-being during treatment.

“TB is curable with the right treatment and nutritional support,” said Dr Dua, praising the Sant Nirankari Mission’s involvement and calling on other community members and organisations to come forward and adopt patients for phased nutritional assistance.

The event witnessed participation from several prominent figures, including Tilak Raj Dogra, Kshetriya Sanchalak Sewadal (Kangra & Chamba), Dr Raghubir Mukhi, Dr Baldev Kaushal and numerous devotees of the mission. The programme concluded with a collective message of compassion, solidarity and a shared commitment to public health.
