150 posts of doc filled in 6 months in AYUSH Dept: Goma
AYUSH, Youth Services and Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma, while addressing a public function in Palampur, said 150 posts of doctor have been filled in the last six months in the AYUSH Department by the government. In the current scenario, people are inclined towards yoga and AYUSH system for treatment. AYUSH is India's ancient system for health benefits and the whole world is adopting this system. Goma said that yoga guides at the wellness centres in the state are not only teaching yoga to the local people but are also promoting it.
The minister said that efforts have been made to provide all types of basic facilities in the Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic Hospital at Paprola in the state. He assured to create post of doctor in the AYUSH dispensary of Balla panchayat of Palampur Assembly constituency.
Earlier, the minister inaugurated Ayurvedic Multi-specialty Hospital in Palampur in the presence of local Congress MLA Ashish Butail.
Goma congratulated the National Career Public Education Society for opening the Ayurvedic Multi-specialty Hospital. He appreciated the society for starting the facility of IPD and OPD in ayurveda.
He said the state government is committed to providing state-of-the-art health services to people. For strengthening the health institutions in the state and for the convenience of patients, adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff is being ensured. He said that the AYUSH Department is also constantly striving to provide the best health facilities to every person in urban and rural areas.
Earlier, MLA Ashish Butail welcomed the AYUSH Minister. He congratulated the National Career Public Education Society for opening an Ayurvedic Multi Specialist Hospital. The Institute's chairman Bhuvnesh Chand Sood honoured the AYUSH minister and Ashish Butail by presenting them a shawl, cap and a memento.
The students of Netaji Subhash Nursing College and Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy presented cultural programmes. The AYUSH Minister also announced Rs 31,000 for the promotion of cultural programmes.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Prof Dr Shashi Kumar Dhiman, University Dean Jai Dev, Deputy Director AYUSH Department Dr Rashmi Agnihotri, District AYUSH Officer Dr Harish Bhardwaj, Municipal Corporation Councillor Amit Sharma along with members of the society and dignitaries were present.
