The state records around 120 to 150 leprosy cases in a year and they are given free treatment. “The National Leprosy Eradication Programme is being run in the state. The objective of the programme is to identify the leprosy patients at initial stages and provide free treatment to them,” said a spokesperson for the Health Department. — TNS
