2,952 candidates apply for 108 posts of Van Mitra in  Solan, Nalagarh

As many as 1,400 candidates applied for Van Mitra posts in Solan forest division and after scrutiny, as many as 1,194 aspirants are competing for 63 posts here.

With no recruitment having been done in the past one year, there was an overwhelming rush of unemployed youth. Candidates in the age group of 18 to 25 years with minimum Class XII qualification are eligible for recruitment to the post.

Solan Divisional Forest Officer Kunal Angrish said that one Van Mitra per beat was supposed to be recruited in 63 beats of the forest division. In Nalagarh forest division, as many as 1,552 Van Mitras are competing for 45 posts here.

Nalagarh Divisional Forest Officer HK Gupta said, “We are conducting the physical test range-wise. Recruitment has been completed in Kohu and Ramshehar ranges and in the next two days, Baddi and Nalagarh forest ranges will be covered.”
