The District Magistrate (DM) today denotified two containment zones of Nalagarh and Jharmajri in the Barotiwala area where nine Covid-positive cases had been detected till April 10. Since no new case has come to fore in the last over three weeks here, all restrictions, including those on industrial activities, have been lifted.
Additional DC Vivek Chandel said the area comprising Brooklyn Hospital, Steelbird Helmet manufacturing company and Hill View Society at Jharmajri in the Barotiwala industrial area as well as the Tablighi Markaz area of Nalagarh were no longer containment zones. In the last three weeks, no Covid case has been detected here and health staff have completed house-to-house tracking of residents.
Of the nine Covid-positive cases detected here, four Delhi residents who had stayed at the guest house of Steelbird Helmet manufacturing company, had shifted to a private hospital at Gurgaon where they had recovered. Three other Tablighi Jamaat members, who had been shifted to the IGMC at Shimla, and two staffers of Brooklyn hospital had also recovered but they were under institutional quarantine at Nalagarh as a precautionary measure, informed health officials.
This order will now allow all industries located in these areas to become operational and daily curfew relaxation of five hours would also be made for the residents.
