The Court of District and Sessions-cum-Special Judge has sentenced two individuals to five years of rigorous imprisonment in separate cases related to illegal drug possession and unauthorised medical practice. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1.20 lakh on each convict.

In the first case, Sanjay Tomar of UP was found guilty under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for possessing and selling prohibited narcotic drugs without a valid permit. In a separate case, Ramesh Kumar of Nurpur in Kangra was convicted for illegally operating a health clinic without a licence.
