2 die in Chopal road accident
Two persons were killed after a car (HP 08A 4595) in which they were travelling plunged into a deep gorge in Chopal tehsil of Shimla district, the police said here today.
The deceased have been identified as Ram Krishan Sharma, son of Keval Ram, and Surjeet Singh Kalsaik, son of Chasa Ram. Both were residents of Badlaog village in Chopal. The accident took place on Saturday on the Chopal-Jhina link road when the duo was on way Badlaog from Chambi village.
The driver lost control over the vehicle and it skidded off the road. Both of them died on the spot.
The police recovered the bodies from the gorge. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital, Chopal, for post mortem. SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said they were investigating the matter.
