The Mandi administration has intensified its anti-narcotics drive, aligning with the state’s zero-tolerance policy. DC Apoorv Devgan said any government employee booked under the NDPS Act will face immediate dismissal, signalling an uncompromising stance.
At a district-level review with department heads, he directed swift completion of disciplinary proceedings to prevent delays in action. Two employees have already been terminated, though details remain undisclosed.
Devgan stressed that these steps reflect the government’s commitment to a clean, accountable workforce and support Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s anti-drug campaign. He reiterated that strict measures will continue to curb narcotics and eliminate drug-related crime in Mandi.
