A patent titled “Method and System for Enriching Life in a Humanly Maintained Aquaculture Environment” was granted to Prof Rajeevan Chandel and Dr Rohit Dhiman, assistant professors of electronics and communication engineering department of the NIT here.
They developed a novel integrated system for remote monitoring of the multiple aquatic parameters for industrial applications.

Dr Chandel said the invention was a breakthrough in a real-time monitoring system designed through Internet of Things which could provide information to farmers regarding aqua parameters using sensor nodes on periodic basis.
