2 held under NDPS, Excise Acts in Kangra
The Kangra police have arrested one person under the NDPS Act, and one under the State Excise Act. Kangra SP Shallini Agnihotri said 6.37 gm heroin or ‘chitta’ was recovered from Abhinay Bhatti, a resident of Tikavanni Post Office, Yol Cantonment, near Dharamsala, in Jhiol.
In this regard, a case was registered under sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act.
In a separate incident, 5,250 ml of country liquor was recovered from Ram Prakash, a resident of Maulichak village near Palampur district.
In this regard, a case was registered under Section 39-1(A) of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act.
