Two persons were killed while two women suffered serious injuries when their car fell into a gorge on the Chamba-Pathankot 154A National Highway near Hatli (Tunnuhatti) on Wednesday.

All the four passengers were members of a family from Sandrola village in Bhanei Kothi area of Churah tehsil.

Those killed in the accident are Singi Ram and his son Budhi Ram. Singi Ram’s mother Lachi and his wife Birkhu Devi were injured.

They were rescued from the accident site and rushed to Swami Hari Giri Hospital in Kakira where they were under treatment.

Deputy Commissioner of Chamba DC Rana informed that an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 each for those killed and Rs 3,000 each for injured had been given to the family.
