The police have arrested two Nigerians from Delhi for supplying heroin to a Kullu resident.
Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said recently, Arpit had been arrested in a heroin case and he revealed that he had fixed a deal with a Nigerian smuggler Collins (21). The Superintendent of Police said Collins, along with another supplier Chima Segus (37), sold 13-gm heroin to Arpit’s father Ashwani, who had also been arrested with the contraband.
The police sent a team to Delhi headed by ASI Chaman Thakur and arrested the two Nigerian accused there.
The Superintendent of Police said both accused had been arrested under Section 29 of the NDPS Act and they had been brought to Kullu. During investigation, it was found that the accused neither had any passport nor visa.
The Superintendent of Police said the police had arrested 15 foreign nationals since July 2019 which included 11 heroin suppliers from Nigeria. The heroin was supplied mostly by Nigerians from Delhi to Kullu and the police had intensified the investigation.
