Over 2,174 vocational teachers from across the state have been protesting in Shimla for the past 13 days. Teachers, who are employed on the outsourced basis, are seeking direct government recruitment to ensure fair salaries, job security and respectful work environment. The companies through which they were employed had terminated the services of nine teachers but the teachers were sticking to their demand.
