The government today shifted 22 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including two ADGP and six SPs.
Ashok Tiwari, ADGP (CID), and N Venugopal, ADGP, Law and Order (with additional charge of Armed Police and Training), will swap places while Dinesh Kumar Yadav has been posted as the IGP (Law and order) on his return from leave.
Sumedha Dwivedi, on her return from leave, has been posted as DIG (Northern Range) at Dharamsala in place of Santosh Patial, who has been posted as DIG, Cyber Crime, with additional charge of DIG, economic offences.
Arul Kumar, SP (SVACB), has been posted as SP, Chamba, in place of Monika Bhutungur, who has been posted as AIG, Police Headquarters. Mohit Chawala, ADC to Governor, will be the new SP of Shimla in place of Omapati Jamwal, who has been posted as SP (SVACB) SIU, Shimla.
Shalini Agnihotri, SP (SVACB), SIU, will replace Gurdev Sharma as SP, Mandi, who has been posted as SP (Crime). SP, Hamirpur, Arjit Sen and SP, Una, Dr Karthikeyan Gokulachandren will change postings while Manav Verma, SDPO, Nalagarh, goes as SP, Lahaul and Spiti.
Sakshi Verma, Commandant, First IRB, Bangrah (Una), has been shifted as Commandant, Fourth IRB, Jungelberi (Hamirpur), while Raman Kumar, SP (Crime), will be the new ADC to Governor and Rahul Nath, AIG, Police Headquarters, will be the SP, SVACB (Central Range), Mandi.
