25-year-old dies by ‘suicide’ in Solan village
Solan, April 10
A 25-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself in her room at Kanah Bijnaal village near Solan this morning.
ASP Ajay Rana, who visited the spot, said the body had been sent for the autopsy and its report was awaited.
The woman was alone in her room while her parents were in another room on a separate floor when she took the extreme step.
The woman reportedly hung herself with a rope used to tie domestic animals. She was working in a call centre at Solan, said the deceased’s kin. Meanwhile, the police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC.
