Additional District Magistrate Rahul Chauhan emphasised the importance of 3-D and Lago technology for rapid disaster relief and rehabilitation at a three-day workshop organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in collaboration with Central University Dharmansala and Aston University Birmingham. Chauhan highlighted temporary shelter as a crucial aspect of disaster management and expressed confidence that the workshop would be a significant step towards improving temporary housing solutions. He urged participants and DDMA officials to raise awareness about this modern technology among stakeholders and relevant departments. Experts from Aston University, D. Komal Raj Aryal and Dr.
Yi-Chung Liu, along with DDMA representatives, trained senior officers and master trainers from various institutions on constructing temporary shelters using 3-D and Lago technology. SDM Sanjit Singh and other officers were also present at the workshop's closing.
