The three-day state-level Tsechu fair at Rewalsar in Mandi district concluded with great enthusiasm and active participation. Former Minister Prakash Chaudhary chaired the closing ceremony, highlighting the fair’s cultural and religious significance. The event is held annually to celebrate the birth anniversary of Buddhist Guru Padmasambhava. Rewalsar is also revered as the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh and a meditation site of Lomas Rishi.

Chaudhary credited the region’s development to the Congress Party and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. He also praised the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for promoting self-sufficiency and infrastructure growth. He announced the establishment of a Civil Judge office, DSP office, and Water Resources Department’s Circle office in Rewalsar. Additionally, beautification plans for Rewalsar Lake are underway with government support.

The event featured various competitions, with winners honoured by the chief guest. Chaudhary distributed incentive prizes to encourage women’s mandals. The fair also featured vibrant cultural performances by women’s groups and schoolchildren.

The event concluded with Mela Committee president and Balh SDM Smritika Negi honouring the chief guest. Local officials, dignitaries, and departmental representatives were present at the ceremony.
