3 youngsters detained for performing risky stunts in car near Parwanoo

Exhibiting risky stunts in a moving car proved dear to three youngsters on the Parwanoo-Dharampur section of the National Highway-5 near Jabli as they were detained by the police. The Dharampur police sprung into action after a video showing a girl indulging in risky stunts on the highway near Jabli went viral last evening. The boy driving the car lost control of the speeding vehicle, which rammed into a divider and landed on the opposite lane.

Dharampur SHO Rakesh Roy said the occupants of the car left the damaged car on the spot last evening but were located today around 10 am. They were trying to arrange a crane to get the damaged car lifted when the police intercepted them.

The trio, comprising a girl and two boys, were coming from Parwanoo when the incident took place near Jabli. The girl is a resident of Punjab and the two youths are from Kasauli and Chandigarh. Some onlookers captured the scene in a video and circulated it on social media. The girl was seen hanging out of the car precariously. None of them were drunk. A case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC has been registered against the youth who was driving.
