Three persons were arrested with 68.34 grams of ‘chitta’ here on Tuesday, the police said. A police team intercepted a car near Mandi Bharari and recovered ‘chitta’ from their possession. Three persons travelling in the car were arrested, they added.

The three accused were identified as Dhyan Chand and Abhinav, both residents of Kullu, and Vishwadeep of Mandi. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the trio and an investigation was launched to know the backward and forward linkages, Bilapsur DSP Madan Dhiman said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
