3 killed in Kinnaur

Three persons were killed and two others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge at Taranda in Kinnaur last night.

The deceased have been identified as Ranvir Singh, Gaurav, both residents of Ninu Rampur, and Sahil, a resident of Jahangirpuri, New Delhi.

The injured — Ravi from Rampur and Javed from Jahangirpuri, New Delhi — were rushed to the Community Health Centre at Bhawanagar, where doctors referred them to the Rampur hospital.

The youths were going to Sangla to attend a friend’s wedding, the police said.

Kinnaur SP SR Rana said the bodies were handed over to the families after post-mortem. A case under Sections 279, 337 and 304A IPC has been registered.
