Around 4 lakh ESIC card holders and their families will be eligible for cashless cancer treatment at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in New Chandigarh.
Dr Ashish Gulia, Director of the centre, said that it would specifically benefit the working population of Baddi and the broader industrial workforce of Himachal Pradesh, who would now have access to cashless cancer treatment.
An MoU was signed by Dr Ashish Gulia, Director of the research centre, and Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Director of the ESIC, Himachal, in the presence of Dr Puneet Banotra, State Medical Officer of the ESIC, Himachal Pradesh; and Dr Amandeep Hastir, State Vigilance Officer, ESIC, Himachal.
