Sub Divisional Magistrate Shashi Pal Negi today said that the district administration had sealed all the borders to curb entry of the persons from the neighbouring states and districts during the current lockdown to prevent the spread of the COVID 19. However, despite advisories issued by the administration people were coming into the sub division without curfew passes and valid reasons, thus violating the norms.

The SDM said that four such persons were nabbed and FIRs registered against them in local police station. All of them have been put under quarantine for 28 days.

The SDM said that all the four persons had managed to reach Nagrota Bagwan from Jalandhar and other cities of Punjab without curfew passes. He said the action was needed as four persons from Jalandhar had sneaked into Kangra district recently and two of them had tested positive for coronavirus.

The SDM cautioned that those who try to violate the curfew norms would be put in isolation facility or home quarantined. Besides, legal action would be initiated against them.
