45 units of blood collected at Mandi camp

Blood donation drives are being simultaneously held across India and Nepal by the Brahma Kumaris, with a collective target of mobilising over one lakh units of blood

Forty-five units of blood were collected today at a blood donation camp at Mandi centre of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. A large number of volunteers from the Brahma Kumaris family, along with students and teachers from Vallabh Government College Mandi, ITI Mandi, IIT Kamand and other institutions, donated blood.

The camp was dedicated to the 18th Smriti Diwas of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, the former chief administrator of the Brahma Kumaris, who devoted her life to spreading peace, human values and universal brotherhood.

Doctors and staff from Zonal Hospital, Mandi, extended medical support at the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajyogini BK Sheela Didi, Mandi circle sub-zone head, said: “Blood donation is the greatest act of virtue. Every individual should come forward for this noble cause to build a healthy and humane society.”
