50 farmers attend camp on natural farming

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hamirpur, organised a one-day awareness camp on natural farming and millet production technology at Bhaleth village today. Around 50 farmers attended the programme.

Chief guest DK Vatsa, Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, while addressing farmers, sought details of various problems being faced by them. He advised them to adopt modern farm technology and farm mechanisation to reduce drudgery. He also discussed the use of drones, hydroponics etc. to attract unemployed youth towards agriculture.

Vatsa emphasised the role of the latest knowledge in agricultural operations and advised farmers to be in touch with the scientists of the KVK as well as the university to make agriculture profitable.
