The 750-metre ropeway has been constructed at a cost of Rs 53 crore and is located nearly one km ahead of the Pandoh Dam’s popular selfie point. It has a carrying capacity of 16 persons per cabin and promises swift and scenic three-minute uphill journey to the temple, thus reducing travel time. It will also offer a unique aerial view of the surrounding landscape.

The ropeway will give a boost to religious tourism and provide tourists an easy access to the temple. Om Prakash, Assistant Manager of the Himachal Pradesh Ropeway and Rapid Transportation Development Corporation (HP RTDC), says, “The ropeway constructed by an Austrian company will facilitate the movement of devotees and tourists. It is ready for operation and will be inaugurated soon. Once operational, it is expected to become a key attraction not only for the devotees, but also for tourists.”

This temple is a prominent religious place dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year. The state government proposes to construct 23 ropeway projects with an aim to enhance tourism.
