Dharamsala, May 18
The arrival of 570 Himachalis in Kangra district today raised concerns of the health and administrative authorities in the area. The district received 251 from Mumbai, 64 from Chennai and 255 from Pune.
Most people have been kept in Radha Swami bhawan in Parour. However, the cause for concern for the authorities was that about 25 persons, who arrived from Mumbai, have symptoms of viral infection. Since Mumbai is a hotspot and has the maximum corona cases, the authorities fear that the recent arrival may spike the number of positive cases in Kangra district. It has 21 cases, the highest in the state.
259 back from Chennai
NURPUR: A special train carrying 259 Himachalis from Chennai reached the Pathankot railway station this noon. They were stranded in Chennai due to the lockdown. Nurpur SDM Surinder Thakur received the passengers at the railway station.

In Kangra, they were sent to the quarantine centre at Jawlamukhi. The administration had made arrangements of refreshment for them.
