About 60 units of blood was collected during a one-day blood donation camp that was organised recently at APG Shimla University under the joint aegis of School of Pharmacy, Blood Unit of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, and Saksham Bharti Foundation. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by APG Shimla University Vice Chancellor Dr Rajender Singh Chauhan.

Prof Chauhan said blood donation is a means of giving life to the needy. “In the hustle-bustle of life, the blood donated can become a lifesaver for someone in case of any accident or serious illness. This is a sacred act of saving lives,” said the VC.

“In the first week of April, a mega health check-up camp is going to be organised for all the students, professors, employees and residents of local Panthaghati, Beolia and Kwara villages,” he added.
