The camp, which concluded recently, saw students engaged in various rural activities while contributing to the community and interacting with villagers and panchayat representatives.

Sister Ambika and Sister Preeti of the Brahma Kumari organisation, Dean (Student Welfare) Dr KK Raina and Panchayat Pradhan Hemraj Kashyap were among those present at the inaugural ceremony. The Brahma Kumaris delivered a thought-provoking address on spiritual awakening and self-realisation, emphasising the transformative impact of introspection and self-awareness on personal growth.

A visit to Dolanji Monastery and the creation of a pathway from Kotla Panjola to Gadhasar further kept the students on their toes.

A survey on Viksit Bharat was also conducted and the camp concluded with a cultural programme for the villagers. Dr CL Thakur and Dr Manish Sharma, Deans of the College of Forestry and the College of Horticulture, respectively, were present at the closing ceremony.

They emphasised the significance of community service and encouraged the volunteers to continue contributing to the society.

Dr Raina acknowledged the students’ dedication and motivated them to excel in both academics and social service.

He also highlighted the crucial role of NSS in their overall development. The camp was coordinated by the NSS Programme Officers of the university.
