7 IAS officers of Himachal Pradesh get additional charge

Shimla, July 16

The state government today gave additional charge of various departments to seven IAS officers — four Principal Secretaries and three secretaries.

Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Tribal Development, has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Forests). RD Nazeem, Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, and Transport, will also hold the charge of Principal Secretary (Industries, and Social Justice and Empowerment). Nazeem is also the Financial Commissioner (Appeals) and Managing Director, Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation.

Dr Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Forests, and Information Technology, has been relieved of the charge of the Forest Department and given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. Devesh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Development, Town and Country Planning, and Tourism, will hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Housing, relieving Akshay Sood.

Akshay Sood, Secretary, Finance, Planning, Economics and Statistics, will also hold the charge of Secretary, Labour and Employment. C Paulrasu has been posted as Secretary, Administrative Reforms, Training and Foreign Assignment, and Redressal of Public Grievances) and Amitabh Avasthi, Secretary, Horticulture and Jal Shakti Vibhag, will also hold additional charge of Secretary, Technical Education. — TNS
