Dharamsala, August 29
A total of 73 Assistant Professors, including 15 women faculty members, appointed in 2019, participated in a faculty development programme at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP). Vice Chancellor Prof Sat Prakash Bansal was the chief guest.
The programme was conducted by Prof Sandeep Kulshrestha. Presiding over the programme, Prof Bansal said the objective the programme being organised since 2019 was that teachers should understand their importance and prepare the youth for nation building.
The faculty, according to him, has not only to share subject information in classroom but also guide the youth.
During different sessions comprehensive inputs on ‘Transformative Pathways: Trends in Teaching and Research’, ‘Indian Knowledge System in the Context of Medicinal Plants’, ‘Role of Psychological Competencies in Teaching Professionals’ were provided to the participants.
Prof Dinesh Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor Gurugram University; Prof JP Yadav, Vice-Chancellor, Mirpur University, Haryana; Prof Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Haryana; Prof Shalini Singh, Director, MDU Rohtak (Women’s Studies), Haryana; Prof Sonia Bansal, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Haryana, were among the keynote speakers at the event.
