Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta, who was the chief guest on the occasion, planted the first sapling. In his address to the cadets, Khimta emphasised the “importance of nurturing our planet and highlighted the critical role each individual plays in maintaining a green and healthy environment”.

By participating in this hands-on activity, the NCC cadets not only contributed to the ecological well-being of their community, but also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of conserving natural resources.
