In a crackdown on drug trafficking, police have arrested nine more members of the notorious Sonu gang, an interstate drug cartel led by kingpin Sohan Lal, alias Sonu.
The accused were actively involved in the buying and selling of chitta (heroin) across Karsog in Mandi district and Rampur in Shimla district.
The police operation led to the arrest of several individuals who had been operating within their respective areas, distributing drugs and expanding the gang’s illegal trade. After gathering intelligence, law enforcement officers launched a targeted operation to apprehend the suspects from various locations in Karsog and Rampur.
Rampur Bushahr Sub-Divisional Police Officer Naresh Sharma confirmed the arrests and stated that further investigations are underway.
