Aadhaar card work at 22 centres, says Chamba DC

The registration for making Aadhaar cards in Chamba district has been speeded up through 22 centres and two mobile units available for the purpose, said Deputy Commissioner Vivek Bhatia here today.

Bhatia said 59 documents had been listed as valid for Aadhaar verification, out of which 31 documents would be valid for proof of identity.

As many as 14 documents have been listed to be used for indicating an applicant’s name and relationship with the head of the family and 14 documents can be used as proof for name and date of birth, Bhatia said.

“An applicant needs to produce one document from each category for getting an Aadhaar Card,” the DC stated.
