ABVP holds 46th state meet at Gupt Ganga

The 46th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) concluded at Gupt Ganga in Kangra district on Saturday with the passing of resolutions on improving the current education scenario in the hill state and developing a sense of patriotism, discipline and dedication to national service.

Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar attended the inaugural session as the chief guest, while Padma Shri awardee Dr Kshama Metre who is the national director and a Trustee of the Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development (CORD) presided over the programme. Former CM and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur attended the concluding session.

ABVP National General Secretary Dr Virendra Singh Solanki was present as the special guest. Hundreds of students participated in this conference.

In her address, Dr Kshama Metre said that ABVP had consistently guided students with patriotism and social sensitivity at its core, developing leadership and service values among the youth. Shanta Kumar praised the ABVP as a leading student organisation that nurtured patriotism, discipline and dedication.
