Adani Fresh declares rates for apple procurement

Adani Agri Fresh has announced apple procurement rates ranging from Rs 20 per kg to Rs 85 per kg for the current season. Regular procurement will start on Monday.

In the premium category, which has 80 per cent to 100 per cent colour, the rate ranges from Rs 45 per kg to Rs 85 per kg. While ‘pittu’ (very small-size fruit) will be bought for Rs 45 per kg, the rate for large, medium and small apple has been fixed at Rs 85 per kg.

In the supreme category, which has 60 per cent to 80 per cent colour, ‘pittu’ will be bought for Rs 35 per kg, while the rate for large, medium and small apple will be Rs 65 per kg.

According to an officialof Adani Agri Fresh, the opening rates announced this time are higher than the prices the previous year. The Adani group keeps revising the apple rates after one or two weeks throughout the season.
