Adarsh Swasthya Sansthans to get latest equipment: Minister
The state government has granted approval for floating rate contract tenders to equip Adarsh Swasthya Sansthans with all necessary machines and equipment of global standards.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dhani Ram Shandil chaired a meeting of the high-powered purchase committee held here today and gave nod to floating the tenders. The minister said that the state government was dedicated to the welfare of the citizens of the state and providing state-of-the-art healthcare was one of its top priorities.
“Since day one, we are working to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone on his doorsteps and for this, we are opening 69 model health institutions, one each in every Assembly constituency of the state and two in Lahaul and Spiti,” he said.
The minister said that the committee gave approval for opening a bid for providing CT-scan services in the public private partnership mode in government-run health institutions of the state. Approval was also given for opening a financial bid for procuring Phaco machines for various government health institutions.
Shandil said that the committee gave approval for purchasing the latest and best quality equipment. The government was ensuring that complete transparency was maintained in the procurement of machinery, he added.
