Additional SP rank officer, DSP among five test positive for Covid-19 in Paonta Sahib

DSP Paonta Sahib and an Additional SP rank officer are among the five people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Paonta Sahib on Monday, taking the total tally in the district to 423.

The five are the contacts of the Power Minister and other people who tested positive for the virus in Paonta Sahib in the last four days.

The DSP office at Paonta Sahib has been sealed since Saturday and the staff is under isolation.

DC, Sirmaur, Dr RK Pruthi said five people who tested positive include DSP, Paonta Sahib, and Commandant, IRB Battalion, Kolar, in Nahan.

The battalion premises will be sanitised and contained for 48 hours to map their contacts, Pruthi added.

Apart from the two, a 24-year-old woman from Majra and two men from the Gorkhuwala and Majra areas of Paonta Sahib also tested positive.
