Una Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar today said the age brackets for those eligible for home quarantine, in place of institutional quarantine, during the lockdown period had been changed.
In a press release issued here, the Deputy Commissioner said persons above 80 years of age and children below five years would now be allowed home quarantine instead of institutional quarantine.
Deputy CommissionerSandeep Kumar said earlier, people above 75 years and children below 10 years were given the relaxation.
He said the change had been introduced in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
The Deputy Commissioner said those being recommended home quarantine should have caretakers to look after them. People being quarantined include those coming into Himachal Pradesh from other states or those who test Covid-positive during their stay here.
The Deputy Commissioner said government employees, who would be quarantined for any reason, would get all pay and wage benefits during the quarantine period and that period would not be considered as leave.
The Deputy Commissioner added that all categories of employees, including permanent, contractual, part-time and outsourced, would be extended the benefit.
