Shimla, February 8

All-India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Abhay Dubey today alleged that the BJP government has pushed the future of soldiers, famers and youth into darkness. While addressing a press conference here today, Dubey said that the Agnipath scheme introduced by the BJP government was grave injustice to our soldiers and the Congress would discontinue it when it would come to power.

Dubey said that the Congress had started a three-phased ‘Jai Jawan’ campaign to register its protest against this scheme and injustice to soldiers and to mobilise people against the scheme.

“In the first phase, we have launched a Jan Sampark campaign in which we will reach 30 lakh families in the country. In the second phase, we will start Satyagraha, under which protests will be held all over the country from March 5-10,” said Dubey. In the third phase, Dubey said that a padyatra will be held from March 17-20.

He accused the BJP government of hurting the interest of the soldiers. Further, he said that the unemployment rate had reached unprecedented levels under the BJP government.
