Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur, observed the National Sports Day with enthusiastic participation. The celebrations began to mark the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. All constituent colleges actively took part in the three-day programme that began on August 29.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Naveen Kumar, in his message, highlighted that sports and physical fitness were integral to the holistic development of students. He underlined that the university placed high priority on nurturing a culture of sports and wellness, as a healthy and active student community were essential for academic excellence and social progress.
The event was organised by the Students’ Welfare Organisation, and the university’s Khel Parisar became the vibrant hub of all activities.
