Agri varsity to give consultancy services: VC

Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice Chancellor, CSK Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, has urged the staff to maintain the hard-earned distinction and serve the farming community with dedication. He was addressing scientists, non-teaching employees and students on the New Year today.

The Vice Chancellor said ‘AgrInnovate Set-up’ had been approved to provide consultancy services, contract research, contract training programmes and contract services. It will act as an effective interface between the university and stakeholders of the agricultural sector like farmers, public and private sector firms, research and development organisations, etc, for securing, sustaining and promoting global agricultural development. He said among all farm varsities in the country, the Palampur university had been ranked at the 11th position by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
