Shimla, October 23
BJP national president JP Nadda said that AIIMS, Bilaspur, should live up to the expectation and trust of the patients and no effort will be spared to make it a centre of excellence. While visiting the premier health institution today, Nadda said that AIIMS should have every necessary instrument and equipment so that doctors and staff do not face any problem in treating patients. “If any equipment is left, it should be arranged soon,” he said.
Apart from visiting each block of the institute and taking stock of the arrangements, he spoke to the relatives of the patients and the MBBS and the nursing students and took feedback from them.
Later, in an informal conversation with the AIIMS management, he issued necessary guidelines to establish AIIMS as the premier medical institute. He said that AIIMS had been established to provide good medical facilities to the people of Bilaspur and the neighbouring districts. “AIIMS has spared people from running to Chandigarh and Delhi for treatment. So, no effort will be spared to make it a centre of excellence,” he said.
