Because of internal bickering, the BJP today denied party ticket to Sanjiv Rana, former panchayat pradhan of Aima, who had played a significant role in implementing the Swachh Bharat Mission in Kangra district. He was the front-runner for the party ticket but was denied at the last moment.
Rana was the first panchayat pradhan of the state, who set up a garbage treatment plant at Aima. — OC
