Students of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Theog, were apprised of the Indian Air Force and defence services during a special awareness and motivation session at the school on Monday. The session featured guest lectures from Sergeant Madan Lal, Corporal KS Prakash and Corporal Vikas.

The programme kicked off with a warm welcome and felicitation of all the officers by Principal Roshan Lal Verma. Verma said such programmes provided students with comprehensive information about the defence services and inspired them to serve the nation.

The guest speakers shared detailed information about the structure, functioning, training system and role of the Indian Air Force in the security of the country. They explained how rapidly the Indian Air Force was adapting with the latest technological advancement and how numerous career opportunities were available for the youth.

Corporal Prakash shared information about the technical branches of the Indian Air Force and the operation of advanced aviation-related equipment. He encouraged the students to develop a strong understanding of science and mathematics and to stay curious about emerging technologies.

Sharing his experience, Corporal Vikas said the Air Force was not just a career but also an opportunity to serve the nation. He made the students aware of the importance of safety, discipline and teamwork.

During a question and answer session, students asked several questions with great enthusiasm, and the officers responded with simple, practical and inspiring answers.
