Airport scuffle: Kullu SP, CM’s PSO suspended
Shimla, June 25
Kullu SP Gaurav Singh and Himachal Chief Minister’s PSO Balwant, who were involved in a showdown outside the Bhuntar airport, have been placed under suspension. Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu confirmed their suspension.

The government chose to send out a strong signal by suspending the two even before DIG (Central Range) Madhusudan submitted his inquiry report into the incident. Brijesh Sood, Additional SP (CM Security), who was slapped by the Kullu SP after heated arguments, has been transferred and Puneet Raghu, ASP, third IRB, Pandoh (Mandi), has been posted in his place. — TNS
