Aishwarya Sud adjudged best speaker at elocution contest

Aishwarya Sud of Loreto Convent, Tara Hall, was declared the Best Speaker in the junior poetry (category 1) in the 26th edition of the BL Modi Inter-School Elocution Competition that commenced at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, on Friday. Ojasvi Ojal Sharma of DAV, New Shimla, was adjudged the Most Promising Speaker 1 while Nisha Kashyap of Convent of Jesus and Mary was declared the Most Promising Speaker 2.

The two-day literary event has brought together 10 of Shimla’s most renowned schools, each vying for excellence in the art of public speaking. The inaugural ceremony was graced by IAS officer Abid Hussain Sadiq, who lit the ceremonial lamp alongside the headmaster of Bishop Cotton School.

Day 1 was dedicated to the junior division, where boys and girls from Classes IV to VII competed in three engaging categories. Their performances showcased not only their command over language but also their ability to convey deep thought with clarity and conviction.
