Hamirpur: Ajay Sharma elected new AMC chairman
Hamirpur, February 7
President of the district Congress Kisan Cell Ajay Sharma has been elected as the chairman of the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) here today.
Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa conducted the election process.
Ajay Sharma expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Sunil Sharma Bittu (political advisor to the CM) and senior leaders of the state and district. He said helping farmers and addressing their grievances would be his priority. He added issues like shortage of parking spaces and cleanliness of vegetable markets would also be improved.
Members of the APMC along with officials from the Agriculture Department and Horticulture Department were also present on the occasion.
