Since there is large-scale movement of trucks carrying industrial goods, it is a must to sanitise these vehicles.

As of today, 209 trucks carrying industrial goods and on way to their destinations, including Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharasthra, Punjab and Sikkim, plied in the district.

Police teams have been deployed at all inter-state barriers in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh(BBN) belt to ensure that no vehicle skipped this process.

However, the police had a difficult time trying to stop outsiders from entering the BBN industrial belt from various escape routes.

The Nawanagar to Sitalpur road was dug up with the help of earth digging machines to deter outsiders from entering the area, said SP, Baddi, Rohit Malpani.

He said four forest guards were also deployed to curb the entry of outsiders through various escape routes throughout the BBN belt. This measure had been necessitated as cases of industry workers making an entry through these routes were coming to fore.

A case was also registered against the manager and owner of EG pharma for surreptitiously plying a bus from Panchkula to the BBN area for carrying company employees daily in violation of the government orders. The bus was caught carrying industry employees in the Barotiwala industrial area.
