Deputy Chief Whip of the Legislative Assembly and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania presided over the Greaves Legacy Awards 2025 ceremony, organised by the Old Students’ Association (OSA) at the auditorium of Government College Dharamshala today. The event saw participation from alumni of various batches, who gathered to reminisce about their academic journey and reconnect with their alma mater.

While inaugurating the programme, Pathania emphasised the importance of alumni in shaping the legacy of institutions. “Alumni are the invaluable assets of any old heritage institution. They carry forward a legacy that gets transferred to the present and future generations,” he remarked. He also highlighted that such events are not just about awards but serve as a golden opportunity to reconnect with former students, relive old memories and inspire the current students.

Being an alumnus of the college himself, Pathania fondly recalled the time he spent on the campus, watching the majestic Dhauladhar mountains while sitting beneath the pine trees. He acknowledged the college’s contribution not just in academics but also in holistic personality development. On this occasion, he announced a grant of Rs 25 lakh for the construction of a gymnasium in the college.
