Dr Verma stated that the district has adequate medical infrastructure, including a sufficient number of hospital beds, oxygen concentrators, antibiotics and other essential medicines. Dispelling public fears, he noted that it is common for patients with cold, cough, or sneezing symptoms to visit OPDs for routine medical care.

However, he cautioned that individuals exhibiting flu-like symptoms should avoid crowded places, cover their mouth while sneezing or coughing and wear masks in public. He advised vulnerable groups such as the elderly, pregnant women, children and those with existing health conditions to remain vigilant.
